ERIC WHITE STUDIO

Fine Art in Detail

Bridalveil Fall:  Spirits of Yosemite – This unique place is one of the finest jewels associated with Yosemite Valley.  The artist has captured this subject as a single-color multi-tone art piece which embodies facial profiles of various Indigenous people that once resided in this region. Here the facial images captured becomes an integral part of the granite rock formations, the foliage, the river with its log jam, even the sky has cloud patterns that possess many obscured expressions.

Bridalveil Fall is one of the most prominent waterfalls in all of Yosemite Valley and it is 617 feet in height and flows year round. In a brisk wind, the falling water is often blown sideways, and when the flow is light, it may not reach the ground directly below. Because of this, the Ahwahneechee Native Americans called this waterfall "Pohono", which means "Spirit of the Puffing Wind".

With mass integration of natural elements that are exaggerated within this art piece the name of the location become alive and the "beauty in detail" can easily be seen as an outstanding conversation piece and therefore begs the art observer to have an appreciable eye of discernment recognizing a substantial measure of projective artistic illusionism coupled with realism.
