Yosemite Valley: Royal Arches with Mirror Lake and Half Dome - The Royal Arches is a cliff containing natural occurring granite exfoliation arches, located below North Dome and rising above Yosemite Valley, in Yosemite National Park, California. These are not literal arches, but rather arch shaped indentations in the cliff face. The Half Dome is an iconic granite peak with a distinctive dome shape, rising 4,737 feet above the valley floor. In the geological formation; both features are formed from granite, shaped by glacial activity over millions of years.

The Native American name for the formation was “Scho-ko-ni,” which translates to “baby basket” or “shade for a baby; there were alternative names that the Indigenous People of area name this rock face like "watching eye. Of course, the artist captured facial images of the original "Native People" in the mountainous crevices. At the bottom of the painting is (Mirror Lake) which is fed by the Merced River. See the "beauty in detail" as soft vibrant colors reappear as the early morning fog continue its dissipation process.
